Have a glorious Easter 2020

2020-04-12 - Columbia - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
These Lilacs and the rolling clouds behind the blossoms speak of the time each year Christians celebrate our Risen Savior Jesus Christ. Wherever you celebrate this year, please be mindful of the need to socially distance and keep yourself and others as safe as possible.

Over Columbia, KY in 1968

2020-04-12 - Columbia - Photo by Max Heath.
This picture from the air above Columbia, KY is from the year 1968. The view looks down Burkesville Street to the historic Adair County Courthouse and out Campbellsville Street leaving the Public Square on the opposite side. In the picture, what looks the same today, 52 years later, and what landmarks are no longer part of downtown? This comes to ColumbiaMagazine.com courtesy of Larry Smith and is labeled with the year 1969 and names of professional Central Kentucky News Journal photographers Max Heath and Richard Robards.

Montra Keen and her son Stephen of Columbia are going to church, at home with their pets, on the deck, by the pool. The screen is set up ready for the service to be streamed live over the internet into their home. The photo was shared last Sunday morning when the weather was milder, but they will attend Easter services the same way, over the internet, while gathering places, including our church buildings, close continuing to fight the spread of the Coronavirus. Stephen added with their photo, "Thank you Jesus!"
