Signs of Spring: Garlic Mustard

According to nature.org, garlic mustard is considered flora non grata because it "invades fields and woodlands, displacing native vegetation. Garlic mustard can change soil conditions to inhibit the growth of most other plants." The leaves smell of garlic when crushed.

Goal met - Feese family monument money raised

A happy announcement - the Feese family monument goal has been reached, William R. Feese is shown with the graph he designed tracking the progress. In the background is the rough draft he designed of the Samuel and Malinda Feese Memorial Gravestone.

Any extra funds collected will be donated to the Columbia City Cemetery. We will let everyone know how much has been donated to the Columbia City Cemetery Fund after checks stop coming in and the Feese Memorial Gravestone Fund bank account has been closed. A big thank you to all who have donated to the Feese Memorial Gravestone Fund. - Prudence Hutchison Westholm

Accident at Parkway exit, New Columbia

Drivers are advised to use caution at the Cumberland Parkway exits and entries near Walmart as an accident occurred there a little before 9pmCT. Vicky Pike was out doing farm chores and heard the crash in what appears to be a one vehicle accident. From her yard police, two ambulances and fire trucks can be seen.
