Teacher Appreciation Week proclaimed in Columbia

The week of May 4-10, 2020 has been proclaimed Teacher Appreciation Week by City of Columbia Mayor Pamela Hoots, at right, to celebrate deserving local educators. Mayor Hoots said, "we realize the importance of teachers in the lives of the children of our community. Teachers play an important part in our community." She and Adair County Schools Superintendent Pamela Stephens are pictured in the Board of Education conference room.
