Official word was released Monday, May 11, 2020 after the search was completed - Sommer Blair Brown is the new Principal of Adair County Elementary School. She has been the interim Principal for the last several months. There will be more news to share as the transition is completed, for now we just say, Congratulations! Seems like just yesterday Ms. Curry was announcing Ms. Brown joined the ranks of Adair County''s teachers who have passed the National Boards and are now National Board Certified Teachers - and a decade later, Ms. Brown becomes the newly selected Principal of ACES. The pictures of it have been sensational; Charles Marshburn's picture allowed my imagination to run wild. Here in Monticello, the rainbow's end was just off West KY 90 on the crossroad to Hwy 200 - love the autumn glow to the mountainside - just below the rainbow."
