Recovering: First meal on his own after five months
2020-06-04 - Louisville, KY - Photo by Mark Carney. The Carney family is celebrating Bam's continued positive steps toward recovery. His brother Mark shared word that, "Bam is now on a liquid diet and is able to eat jello, broth, and frozen lemon desert. This past Saturday, he was able to feed himself for the first time in 5 months and 7 days. It took him awhile to get the spoon from the dish to his mouth but he did it!
"He was able to get a haircut and shave yesterday and looked so good afterwards that we thought we should post his picture. This is the first picture that we have posted on Facebook since Bam was put in the hospital on December 23, 2019. You can tell through his smile that he is feeling better but we all know he still has a ways to go."

J and J Land Management helping at the Ranch
2020-06-03 - Bliss, KY in New Columbia - Photo by Victoria Pike of Miss Vicky\'s Pampered Angus Ranch. Saturday morning this little machine with a mulcher attached went to work to clean up the girls shaded area. A former conservation area set aside for trees had grown up with heavy brush and weeds instead of its intended purpose of starting walnut and shade trees. Chopped up and now clean as a pen. This is Josh Franklin who has a new business in Adair County, J and J Land Management, great job. The girls and I are proud as a peacock of this job. We are not used to a lot of mess around here but this job was more than I could handle. Would just love to operate that little machine but guess I’ll have to stick to Miss Mahindra and mowing off the pasture fields. I’d probably be dangerous with that machine. I’d clean the whole neighborhood up. Happy haying to all my neighbor friends who have hay down. - Vicky (For J and J contact information, visit their business card side ad at left on this home page - LW).
