The first time local construction caused a multi-hour internet outage at our house, then-six-year-old Hailey was reduced to tears. When it happened again last night, now-eight-year-old Hailey had the wisdom to cope with situation with only mild frustration. However, by hour two, she remained unimpressed with her mother's suggestion to "read a book," and even moreso my claim that I had once gone more than 40 *years* without seeing a YouTube video.

We eventually hit up the board game closet for some classic entertainment, to which she said, "Oh, this is like Words with Friends from the olden days. Is this what it was based on?"

Beth Wethington greeted voters

Primary Election Official Beth Wethington welcomed and gave directions to voters at the Adair County Annex. Election officials wore masks when working with the public to help keep everyone safe. One voter chose the elevator and one chose the stairs to the Annex basement where voting stations were set up.

The Adair county Courthouse Annex basement held 14 voting stations, and that coupled with mail-in and early voting days meant there were no long lines of folks waiting to cast their ballots.
