The Lake Trail, a 2.7 mile trail through the forest and along the edge of Green River Lake, part of the Fisher Bend Trails off of Holmes Bend Road.

ACSO: Help identifying accident victim

Sheriff Josh Brockman writes: The Adair County Sheriff's Office is asking for assistance identifying the young man seen here on the bicycle. This photo was taken from a security camera on KY 80 East approximately two hours before he was struck by a vehicle four miles east of Columbia on Highway 80.

He was air lifted out and is in critical condition. He had no identity with him and are unable to find anyone who knows him.

If you have any information you think could help us identify him please call Adair County 911 and ask to speak to the deputy on duty or Sheriff Brockman.

Watch out for construction crews

Roadwork on Highway 55 at the Adair Taylor County line may cause delays in travel. Look for wait times between the Green River bridge and Homeplace on Green River. Travel accordingly.

VFW in Adair hosts state officer installation

VFW Post 6097, Columbia was host to a special event. Many of the Dept of Kentucky and District Officers are pictured as they are taking the oath of office for the 2020-2021 year.

Scenic Adair County: Fisher Bend Backbone Trail

The Fisher Bend trailhead is on Holmes Bend Road. The Backbone Trail is a 1 mile graveled path down to the lake, and several other trails branch from there, including a 2.7 mile Lake Trail which offers some spectacular views of Green River Lake.
