Home of KFC gets a makeover

According to Kentucky Tourism, The Harland Sanders Cafe is a historic restaurant located in North Corbin, Kentucky. Colonel Harland Sanders, the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken, operated the restaurant from 1940-1956. Sanders also developed the famous KFC secret recipe at the cafe during the 1940s.

The cafe is currently undergoing renovations.

Green County Schools close as case index rises

The Green County, KY School District announced on its public Facebook page that "out of an abundance of caution" they will close for the coming two weeks because of the rise in community cases. They had opened for the first week of school while keeping watch on the daily active COVID-19 pandemic case index. The graph shows the numbers of cases growing from what school leaders felt was safe into the danger zone.
