I find it fascinating the folklore with Fairy Ring mushrooms. Of course since science has proven different. I have yet to find a Keebler elf. :-) If I would’ve allowed to stay they would’ve gotten much bigger. But I really don’t want the spores in my yard. Keep the chimneys 2020-09-10 - Downtown Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, columbiamagazine.com. I still do a double take when I pass by and glance up to admire the old Hurt/Foust place and see only blackened chimneys where it burned down. This is a view of the back side of the house before the fire. Fire Chief Glasgow said they aimed high power water hoses at the chimneys from their fire trucks to see if they'd crumble but they stayed strong. That's a sign.
