Court Appointed Special Advocates sworn in

Six women from around the region took the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) oath in the swearing in ceremony of their first virtual training class at the Metcalfe County Courthouse. The ceremony was performed by Family Court Judge Mica Pence. CASA of South Central Kentucky works on behalf of vulnerable children in the child welfare system. The Kentucky Administrative Office of the Court (AOC) reported 1,443 cases of neglect, abuse, and dependency in the CASA service region in 2019.

Matti and Mathew Moss are pictured working on this weeks Adair County Public Library StoryTime Packet. They are the children of Matthew and Tessa Moss and grandchildren of Harrison and Shirley Moss. The Library reminds everyone that starting Monday, October 5th, they begin implementing our new weekly schedule. Monday - Friday: 8 - 5 and Saturday: 8 - 12 noon. Sundays they are closed as before.

Suellen Shaw named 2020 Teacher of the Year by KMTA

Suellen Shaw, a member of the Central Kentucky Music Teachers Association (CKMTA), has been named the 2020 Teacher of the Year by the Kentucky Music Teachers Association (KMTA). Suellen has taught piano independently in Campbellsville, Kentucky since 1970.
