Jayden interviews elected official for Scouts

Eleven-year-old Jayden Campbell stopped by Columbia's City Hall this week to interview Mayor Pamela Hoots. An interview with an elected official is a requirement for earning his citizenship patch in his local Boy Scout Troop.

Mums coming to Farmers Market

Mums will be available at the Farmers Market on the Square today, Saturday, October 10, 2020, along with fresh breads and rolls, white sweet potatoes and local honey. Craft items will also be plentiful as customers get ready for upcoming holidays.

Scenic Kentucky: Central Park

Frederick Law Olmstead may be best known for that other Central Park in far off New York City, but among the many he designed in Louisville is the lovely Central Park in Old Louisville. The 17-acre municipal park was originally the country estate of the DuPont Family.

Cleaning up Adair County

As Adair County Government prepares for the next two cleanup days, success is still being celebrated from last week's event, larger than last year. Jackie Montgomery took this photo of volunteers working at the Free Tipping Day at the landfill. Next opportunity to clean up Adair County comes October 26 through October 30, 2020 for E-SCRAP at the Recycling Center, 62 Service Road off Campbellsville Street, Columbia.

New drop box option for tax payments
