Until noon today, Saturday, November 14, 2020, you can pull into the big garage and get your hazardous waste unloaded for you. When you turn onto Service Road, the little sign in the middle directs you to pull down to the right, into the open garage door. There was no waiting at 9:30am. It felt great to get old paint cans delivered to people who know how to dispose of it without hurting the earth.

Fall happened this week

One sunny, warm day the red leaves were hanging on the tree limbs. The weather changed overnight to windy and rainy and the next day the red leaves were carpeting the ground underneath.

Dr. Stephens writes, "Please be in prayer for my son-in-law, Mendel Sexton and his family in the early morning death of his dad, James Howard Sexton. Mr. James Howard was an Adair County School Board Member for many years."

Adair County Schools will go all virtual

The Adair County Public School District will be changing to all virtual classes as a result of the growing COVID-19 cases in the county. For the past several weeks students have attended on the Red-Blue system of part virtual and part classroom face to face. More details on the change and plans will be provided as announcements come from School Superintendent Dr. Pam Stephens.

Trying out the new food option

Bobby and Wanda Beard were among dozens of vehicles at the opening of the new Columbia Dairy Queen Tuesday to try out the new food option in town. They are giving a wave to Mayor Pam Hoots before the ribbon cutting ceremony.
