Party rabbit gets a snack

A virtual birthday party was held Saturday to honor sister-cousin Hailey Waggener's ninth birthday. Tillie's pet rabbit Groundhog stayed in the background until all the celebrations were over and then got a moment on screen as he enjoyed his party snack.

Mountain range only clouds

The big blue shelf of clouds behind the Sparksville water tower blocking Saturday's sunset could have been mistaken for mountains, except this is southern Kentucky and we don't have any of those here.

Mild winter, January carrots, and very cold hands

Larry writes, "The carrot patch is still going strong. I harvested these January 22. At this point I'm experimenting to see how much longer the rest will survive. The digging wasn't so bad, but the washing off the dirt brought back memories of when I was a kid and going home after throwing snow balls all afternoon."

Another shot from Gary's late father's years as a minister in the EUB Church in Red Bird Mission and surrounding communities.

Gary writes, "The church is on the right. Originally the EUB before it joined with the Methodist Church to form the United Methodist Church. The building on the left was originally a hospital but in the 60s was use as the parsonage for the pastor."
