Lindsey classes will be remote today

To ensure the health and safety of Lindsey Wilson College commuter students and faculty, LWC will hold classes remotely today, Monday, February 1, 2021, using Google Meet sessions.

In addition, essential personnel should plan to report to campus today while other employees should work from home.

Augie Bault enjoys a comfortable spot on her UK blanket on the back of the couch, a perfect height to watch the birds outside the window. Traffic at the feeder is heavy these winter days providing plenty of entertainment when there's no basketball game on TV.

Your Greater Bliss/New Columbia correspondent here, reporting on my neighbor's good fortune. After shutting down Friday, the Burness crew was thinking there wasn't a lot of promise for the second oil well, however, things looked different this morning and they drilled only two more feet and there it was! Miss Connie Stotts has big well #2! The good Lord knows best. Congratulations, neighbors, Woo-hooo!!! Guess we shall call her Granny Connie Clampett. Thanks for alerting me to be there for the big event."

Epicurean Kentuckian: preparing for Sunday dinner

Starting to soak the beans overnight so they'll be ready to cook for Sunday dinner. Included in the mix are: green split peas, red kidney beans, lima beans, black beans, lentils, great northern beans, pinto beans, yellow split peas, black turtle beans, pearled barley, and butter beans.
