Birds of Kentucky: LBBs among the branches

"I awoke Saturday morning to a trio of delightful white throated sparrows, aka LBB (little brown birds) hopping among the branches and fallen leaves of the house-side of a yew. Their yellow smudges were a bright 'good morning' surprise. One appeared for this photo op later in the day, just before rainfall sent all the woodpeckers flying into the woods." - JM

Another oil well strike on Hwy 61 South - a big one!

Wild turkey family

A large family of wild turkeys ambled across Jones Chapel Road ahead of me a few days ago. About ten of them disappeared quickly into the woods but these two paused for a second to look back for a photo.
