Business updates at Chamber Board meeting

Present at the February Columbia Adair Chamber of Commerce Board meeting were Ellen Zornes, Executive Director; Pam Hoots, President; Wes Bryant, Vice President; Angie Cowan, Secretary; and Board members Dr. Pam Stephens, Woody Sharpe, and Linda Waggener. Plans discussed included getting the annual nominations forms out to members for business leader recognition.

It's what's for dinner

A Charcuterie board - the delightful dish prepared and photographed by Renea was on the table for dinner during the snow storm at the Watson home. Husband Mike says he calls Renea a "concoctionist in the kitchen because she concocts great dishes from components that don't always mate."

National FFA Week proclaimed in Adair County

Black History Month Proclaimed in Columbia


2021-02-22 - Adair County, KY - Photo From the City of Columbia.
The month of February has been proclaimed as “Black History Month” in the City of Columbia. The proclamation recognized those persons in our African American community for their part in our city’s heritage. Councilor Sharon Payne, who is the first female African American to serve on the Columbia City Council, joined Mayor Pamela Hoots for the signing. The proclamation recognizes the diversity of the members of our community.
