Morgan Spoon completes Rogers Scholar service project 2021-03-05 - Columbia, KY - Photo courtesy The Center for Rural Development. 2020 Rogers Scholar Morgan Spoon didn't let COVID-19 stop her from showing some love to Adair Friends and Neighbors. The Adair County High School student delivered Christmas stockings filled with personal care items, a word book, and writing instruments to the adult day health care center. "In years' past, I have done projects with the adults in this facility," she said. "These people are the sweetest, kindest, and the absolute best storytellers. They love puzzles and word finds and for anyone to sit and talk with them. I wanted to make sure they were not forgotten." Each graduate of The Center for Rural Development's Rogers Scholars program is required to complete a community service project.
