Trails are open at Homeplace on Green River

Landscape architect Darren Henson mentioned the work going on at Homeplace on Green River in his presentation at City Hall this week. He is working with HGR and also with the City of Columbia on grants to further development of walking trails. Trails are open now at HGR. Trails are in the planning phase for the City's Burkesville Street park.

New Columbia Walmart Manager welcomed

Shaunda Soverly, at right, is the new Columbia Walmart Manager, replacing Sam Scarborough who transferred to Bowling Green recently. She was welcomed by Columbia-Adair Chamber of Commerce leaders Ellen Zornes and Woody Sharpe. She said her family was on their way to Columbia from Florida at the time everyone met for the groundbreaking of the new KFC store across the street. They will make their home in Adair County.
