Parkway reopens to traffic after all day closure 2021-03-15 - Exit #46 westbound, Columbia, KY - Photo by Victoria Pike of Miss Vicky's Pampered Angus Ranch. Checking out my front view at Exit #46 onto the Cumberland Parkway, the wrecked semi was being hauled away after an all day closure of the westbound lanes to Edmonton. The state truck that had been there hour after hour with lights flashing, blocking entry during accident reconstruction, headed out and the first vehicles were allowed onto the reopened parkway right at 8pm. Road closure update: at 1pmCT Kentucky State Police reported that the Cumberland Parkway between exit 46 in Columbia and Edmonton will be closed for the remainder of the day as they reconstruct the early morning accident. The single commercial vehicle accident reportedly involved a fatality. Prepare for a detour to Highway 80, roads are wet, and motorists are advised to drive with caution.
