Most guides on the internet will list food, water, shelter, and exercise as key to your dog's health and happiness. What few of them mention is the importance of a rich cultural environment for your dog. In this photo, nine-year-old Hailey Waggener reads poetry to Churchill the Dog. Research has shown that dogs are more receptive to poetry about themselves, so Hailey has written something appropriate, extolling his virtues and comparing Churchill's mane to that of a Mighty Lion.
