Darrell Overstreet, Hearing Officer for the Adair County School District's Facilities Plan Committee, presented the groups recommendations for the coming five years at the May, 2021 School Board meeting. The plan calls for needed upgrades to the Primary Center, Elementary and High School buildings, and for the complete replacement of the Adair County Middle School building (old High School). Mike writes, "Few would recognize this view of [South] High Street, looking up the hill from Greensburg Street, from early in the last century. At the top of the hill, on the right, we can see the Rich Paull house, now home of Chuck Rogers. The Street was paved with concrete in the 1930s, so this photo predates the street.
