Haskiells to sell Kozy Haven 2021-06-03 - Columbia, KY - Photo courtesy Chris Wilson. Kozy Haven Log Cabin Rentals was started in 2013 shortly after John and Peggy Haskiell purchased the property from the late Hazel Parson's estate. The Haskiells originally built four "Smokey Mountain"-style log cabins, and demand has been so high that they've added more cabins, a 2-bedroom log home, a playground, and a picnic area. They have lodged guests from all 50 states and 48 countries, hosting countless family reunions and even weddings. Peggy Haskiell has been in charge of the day-to-day operations, but she plans to retire in order to assist her elderly father, who is facing several health-related issues.
