Hoping for addition of blackberries

Thinking of all the good tastes coming this season, Jan writes, "With the exception of the wild blackberries, I'm clueless about fruit trees and bushes but they are all over this place of mine! And more fruits than I've ever seen on them. I hope this means tons of blackberries this summer too!"

Tracking COVID-19 in the ten county area

As the state dismisses mask mandates and relaxes guidelines for social distancing, this report marks the last daily tracking chart from our LC District Health Department. From here, only weekly reports will be provided as things head back toward normal. Adair is on the western side of the LCDHD and does not include adjoining Metcalfe County which is in the Barren River District. According to the BRDHD numbers, Metcalfe COVID-19 deaths stand at 27.

Adair in path of severe storms Friday

Friday, June 11, 2021, has been a day of memorable weather. Thunder storms have rolled through with very intense rains. Miss Vicky sent this picture at 7:47pmCT of the darkening skies over her Pampered Angus Ranch in New Columbia, writing, "rough looking clouds to the west."

Ajaxx the puppy cooling off at FM2

In Veronica Klinglesmith’s booth at the Saturday morning Farmers Market on the Square, a welcome mat is out for dogs to cool their pads on, and they can also get a drink of fresh water. Anita wrote that Ajaxx the "puppy", an 8-month old Rottweiler, was taking advantage of the friendly spot last week. FM2 is located on the corner of Merchant and Campbellsville Streets in Columbia and starts at 8amCT Saturdays.
