Kentucky Color: Three Pronger 2021-07-06 - Adair Co., KY - Photo by Billy Joe Fudge. By Billy Joe Fudge The perfect symmetry of Ginseng's Three Pronger is the easiest of all forms of Ginseng to spot. In general, Ginseng green is more muted, softer and less glossy than the greens that surround it. Its red seeds will appear a little later in the summer, making it a little easier to find, also. There are rules about when you can dig its valuable roots and also when to sell them. The rules can be found on the Kentucky Department of Agriculture website, and remember to get the landowner's permission before digging. Cosmos on the dinner table 2021-07-06 - Adair County, KY - Photo by Miss Donna Rieder. A bouquet of pretty pink Cosmos graces my dinner table on the back porch at Clifty Creek Farm this evening. The original seeds came from my Dad's garden. Daddy passed away 14 years ago this month; he would've been 91 on July 3rd. I sure do miss him! He served 28 years in the United States Air Force.
