It used to be a landmark on the trip south from Columbia to Burkesville just before getting to the landmark signs where three counties switch back and forth - Adair, Metcalfe and Cumberland. Word in the neighborhood is that Hayward and Connie Adams sold the property to Dollar General corporation for one of their new country sites. Updates given at July EDA meeting 2021-07-26 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. Heather Spoon is giving her help to the Columbia Adair Economic Development Authority (EDA) to help improve communications with business and industry needing a location. As a start, she has gotten lights installed on the newly updated entrance sign at Green River Industrial Park so it can now also be seen at night. She is pictured at left with Adair Judge Executive Gale Cowan and Columbia Mayor Pamela Hoots. The next regular meeting of the EDA will be Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 8amCT on the lower level of the building at 201 Burkesville Street, Columbia. All meetings are open to the public.
