Future forest 2021-08-19 - Adair Co., KY - Photo by Donna Rieder. By Donna Rieder My future forest! I have about 50 Tulip Poplars, several red and white Oaks, several Maples and two French Pussywillows. I dug them up Spring of 2020, at about 2-3" tall. This year they're about 12-14" tall. This Fall I'll repot them into bigger pots, they'll be almost 4' tall this time next year. Then I'll be planting a new forest in my upper field. I've already drawn the layout; from the air it will look like a giant question mark! Oh, and there's also several Redbud trees in there.
