Candidates in 51st District Special Election


2021-09-22 - 51st District of Kentucky .
One candidate from each political party will be on the ballot for the unexpired term of Rep. Bam Carney who passed away recently after a long illness. The 2021 Special Election for State House 51st Representative District, Adair and Taylor Counties, will take place on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.

From left are: Democrat candidate Eddie Rogers from Taylor County; Republican candidate Michael "Sarge" Pollock from Taylor County; and Independent candidate Timothy Gordon Shafer from Adair County. Celebrating the Trabue Russell House anniversary

Friends came together to the 200th anniversary celebration of the historic Trabue Russell House in Columbia. Cheryl Jenkins, Meg Dixon, Kathy Hunt and Cheryl Tillery were among those enjoying the event Friday, September 17, 2021. At right is Mayor Pam Hoots who worked with volunteer Mary Anne Loy to organize the day.
