Piecemaker's Quilt Guild creating for Veterans 2021-10-09 - Metcalfe County, KY - Photo from Gaye Shaw, Edmonton Metcalfe County Chamber of Commerce. The Piecemaker's Quilt Guild in partnership with the VFW and American Legion in Metcalfe County will be accepting application for this year's Quilts for Heroes project. In the past 2 years, 15 quilts have been awarded to our local veterans with plans to continue this endeavor every year. Chairperson Becky London and member Charlotte Atkins are shown with one of last year's quilts. The public is encouraged to nominate a veteran by submitting an application to the American Legion Post 65, PO Box 540, Edmonton, KY 42129 before October 28, 2021. The quilts will be awarded at the Veteran's Day Ceremony on November 11, 2021. Questions may be directed to Bill Lytle at 270-432-2638.
