Postcards from LWC: Nishi Sharma

2021-10-27 - Columbia, KY - Photo courtesy Nishi Sharma.
By Dakota Smith

Meet Nishi Sharma from India where The Festival of Lights, Or Diwali, is celebrated. Diwali is a five-day celebration that includes good food, fireworks, colored sand, and special candles and lamps.

Nishi Sharma chose to come to LWC because our MTSM course curriculum is really great and also learning about it from a few alumni made her interested in the program. She is most looking forward to visiting campus, attending university, and meeting the faculty and peers. The hardest adjustment she has had to make in America, is the change in climate.

Soon to become a big brother

2021-10-26 - Columbia, KY - Photo from Mitzi McKinley Bault.
Branston Cowan is about to become a big brother. Family and friends learned in a gender reveal party over the weekend that it's going to be a little sister. He's pictured here wearing his Dad's boots from childhood. A little big, but he got around good in them.
