The November 2, 2021 Special Election for State Representative in Kentucky's 51st District was a long, tough experience for Adair County Clerk Lisa Greer, center, her staff and the Election Commissioners. With only five voting places open and the ability for voters to choose any of the five locations, precinct totals could not be immediate as in the old days, before the pandemic. After the votes were counted and folks were leaving the Courthouse Annex Tuesday night, they discovered blue lights flashing. It was a routine traffic stop, according to one of the State Policemen, and cars were quickly moved to make room for vote counters to exit.
