Postcards from LWC: Patricia Winny
2021-11-03 - Columbia, KY - Photo courtesy Patricia Winny. By Dakota Smith

Carnival is an annual Brazilian festival held the Friday afternoon before Ash Wednesday at noon, which marks the beginning of Lent, the forty-day period before Easter. The reason Patricia chose LWC is because she researched some colleges abroad, and she saw that this is one of the best for exchange students. She is most looking forward to studying, but the hardest adjustment she had to make was leaving her family!

His little fans pictured here are his grandchildren, EverLeigh and Fletcher Milby. It could have been their sincere campaign video, "vote for my Pop!", that put him over the top.
