Postcards from LWC: Fasiuddin Mohammed
2021-11-08 - Columbia, KY - Photo courtesy Fasiuddin Mohammed. By Dakota Smith
Meet Fasiuddin Mohammed from Hyderabad, India, where it is customary to eat with your right hand. Did you know that across Asia, the left hand is used for unsavory functions such as putting on your shoes and cleaning your feet, while your right hand is used for eating, shaking hands and so on? The reason he chose LWC was for the MTSM program, and he is enjoying his courses, although he finds them quite difficult at times!

Monster on the hood
2021-11-08 - Green River Lake - Photo by Linda Waggener. Chatting beside a tall truck hood, first one of us, then another, then another, examined this menacing giant making its way toward us. Tom and I took several pictures. - LW
It is very similar to the bug spotted in Glens Fork this same weekend: What a strange bug
Google's best guess was "giant leaf-footed bug, not harmful to humans." If you can confirm or ID, use our Comment form to let us know.
