Nurse Practitioners Week proclaimed in Adair
 2021-11-10 - Adair County, KY - Photo from the office of Adair County Judge Executive . ACJE Gale Cowan writes, "I was happy to proclaim this week as Nurse Practitioners Week. According to the Kentucky Association of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse-Midwives, Adair
County has 37 Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (ARNP) and over 9,600 in the State of Kentucky. For more than half a century Nurse Practitioners have been working to reduce health disparities and ensure that high quality person-centered healthcare is readily accessible to our communities."
During
the COVID-19 pandemic, Nurse Practitioners have been on the front lines testing, treating patients and doing what they can to prevent the spread of the virus.
