A cold job on Friday

Traffic was rerouted on Reed Street for a time Friday to make room for Kentucky Utilities work. With temperatures not ever getting up to the freezing mark and an uncomfortably cold wind whipping around, it had to be among the hardest jobs to be doing on this day.

Making it real at Synergy Food Group, Columbia

"Oh, man, we're excited!" Craig Dean said as he and the first employees hired at Synergy Food group worked to position the first incoming product from the first truckload that came to the plant this week. "We're moving product, have a couple of orders ready and hope to start distribution within two weeks," he said.
