Kentucky Color: Black vultures roosting in Greenhills

It has become apparent that Greenhills is becoming a local sleepover location for Black Vultures. Aggressive Black Vultures, according to some, are a threat to our local, non-aggressive Turkey Buzzards, and our back yards turning white from the result of their roosts are potential health hazards.

ACHS class of 1993 connection

Misty Willis and Tom Waggener took time for remembering their Adair County High School days when they happened to meet up this week at a local event. They were graduates of the class of 1993 and may reach out to fellow classmates about a future reunion.

Dunbar School, approximately three miles from Columbia, off East Highway 80. The school closed about 1956 or 1957, and the building was offered for sale starting in late May of 1957.

This smart school bus driver pulled onto both lanes reminding drivers they must stop and not go around when students are getting off and on the bus. The excitement on their faces matched the wonder of the sunny warm day.
