Makayla White, a fifth grade student from Adair Elementary School (ACES), has been selected the Adair County and Mid-Cumberland Retired Teachers Association winner in the "2021-2022 Grandparent of the Year" essay contest for her essay about her great grandfather, Jack Garrett.

First Forsythia blooms spotted in Montpelier

Mike Watson spotted these first Forsythia bushes in bloom yesterday in Montpelier, eastern Adair County. The flowering bush is as old as the outbuildings on either side.

The official ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome the community and demonstrate what is happening in Columbia's newest employer's location took place at Synergy Food Group Wednesday afternoon.
