A daughter requests, please say her name 2022-04-27 - Adair County, KY - Photo from personal collection. Stephanie Maclean, pictured at right, would like her Mom, the late Rosemary Bryant McLean, in the photo at left, to be remembered whenever names from her class are printed. Rosemary graduated from Adair County High School in 1982 and died in a car accident when Stephanie was only four months old. Whenever reunion notices are posted, she says she thinks of her Mother and would like to see her mentioned along with classmates. Columbia Magazine has a 25-year history "linking the generations" - we're pleased to post this request and research further. The location is along Cartwright Creek which flows beside Hwy 55 between Lebanon and Springfield. We can't wait to hear from CM Readers who may already know for sure. Gina Baker shares the photo at right looking out Greensburg Street in Columbia and this note, "I wanted to send this in to let people know that North Monroe Street off of Greensburg Street at the corner by the Adair County Regional Jail is now one way for one block to Adams Street." One the left, it shows the new 'no through traffic' sign. It's only one block but it's a pattern-changer for downtown drivers. For the sake of safety, the block of North Monroe Street between Adams and Greensburg Streets no longer allows through traffic.
