Robert writes, "Island In The Sky is about a 40 minute drive from Moab. It is a Mesa consisting of sheer sandstone cliffs resting 1000 feet above the surrounding terrain. This pic is of the popular Mesa Arch. A easy 1/2 mile round trip hike from the parking area. The Arch itself is on the edge of a 500 foot cliff, part of a 1,200 foot drop off into Buck Canyon.
