Locking arms for grant applicaiton

Heather Bryant Spoon, in front at left, prepared to give her presentation at the September City Council meeting, asking that the City lock arms with the County and Economic Development Authority and commit to a possible investment of up to $150,000 for a grant. She is writing the application in the name of the Columbia Adair County EDA toward the goal of adding a build-ready pad to help attract businesses to the Green River Commerce Park. It is a matching grant and will require that amount from each entity if it is won. If Adair is not awarded the grant no monies will be spent. The City Council approved the request.
