Memorial Day celebration kicked off weekend

The 2022 Memorial Day weekend of remembering was kicked off with a celebration in front of City Hall to mark the installation of the first of downtown Columbia's Veteran's flags. Mayor Pam Hoots opened the Friday morning meeting and introduced the Presentation of Colors by VFW Post # 6097. A prayer was led by US Army Veteran, Aaron Labarge, Family Pastor, Columbia Baptist Church. Remarks were given by Retired Major US Marines, Paul Smith. Comments | Permalink
