Child's memorial day dedication

Veronica writes, "My son wanted to do something for memorial day. Yes we hung up a new American flag and proudly displayed it. Yes we discussed what it means, remembering soldiers killed in action versus honoring veterans on Veterans Day. But he wanted to do something. So he spent hours drawing and coloring a giant American flag in our driveway. He knew to put 13 stripes, one for each of the original colonies and 50 stars, one for each current state. He is proud to be an American, and knows that flag represents freedom and sacrifice." Comments | Permalink
