Watch out for Killdeer nests

Veronica writes, "Watch out for the killdeer nests. We know they nest on the ground, and fain injury to lure predators away from their nests... but they do lay eggs in places where they are liable to be found by people.
This nest was discovered on Saturday evening in the gravel by an outdoor shed. The eggs blend in well with the rocks. Watch where you step!" Comments | Permalink
