With the passing of Miss Venie Moss, who drowned in the Gradyville Flood, 7 June 1907, her hand-made quilt passed to her mother, Mrs. Nancy Matney Moss. She later gave it to the eldest daughter - Cymbeline Moss Keltner - of her son, John Marshall Moss. Mrs. Keltner graciously gave it to her younger sister, Mrs Venie Moss Coffey, namesake of the maker. Comments | Permalink
