Did you know that the very bright star in the eastern sky right after sunset is not a star at all? In fact, it is the planet Jupiter. Although it was some 600 million miles away from our earth last night, Jupiter and its 4 largest moons--Io, Callisto, Europa and Ganymede--were visible through a good pair of binoculars or a small telescope to show the incredible view as shown in the photo above.
