Beauty And The Dragon in Cane Valley

Until proven otherwise, I smilingly refer to this fossil as my dragon rock. It was found in a creek back before I was into photography and more into looking for fossils. What appears to be brown colored, “bubbled” skin is only about 1/4” thick and is attached to the rock in two locations...and...it almost looks like it is peeling away in a few spots. There are multiple, layered lines (looking at it from the ends) that run from side to side that mimic the shape, or profile of the rock. In my un-scientific opinion it appears to be a fossilized bone. Comments | Permalink
