First Day Lilies of 2021

Before writing words to go with this picture, I saw that Guy Babin had announced discovery of the first Day Lily of 2021 on his Adair County farm. He described how this flower gives him very special memories, "...They have a special place in my heart. My Grandma Hilda Babin raised Day Lilies on the bayou in south Louisiana and taught a skinny little boy how to pollinate, tend, and care for them on my summer visits." Comments | Permalink
