Fire Chief Glasgow to retire, event planned

July 10, 2021 is the date set to honor Mike Glasgow who has announced his retirement from over 40 years of service as Chief of the Columbia Fire Department. The event will start at 4:30pmCT at 200 Merchant Street in Columbia and the community is invited. Mayor Pamela Hoots will appoint a new chief from recommendations she will receive from fire department leaders. Glasgow is pictured here presenting at a pre-pandemic City Council meeting.
