Leaving Green, Heading West, Nelson Nevada (Day2)

Robert writes, "On day two of our trip, William and I headed out of Vegas and drove a little over 40 miles to the old Techatticup Gold Mine in the town of Nelson (or what's left of the town). At one time it was the oldest, richest and most famous gold mine in Southern Nevada, and it's located in scenic Eldorado Canyon.
Our target was a collection of vintage cars, buildings and relics that had been collected over the years, assembled and placed in such a way as to attract tourists, photographers, or just about anyone who wants to step back in time...to get a glimpse of the old west. Hollywood, with a couple of movies, magazine shoots, weddings, and speaking with the owner, photographers from all over the world have visited the place. Nevertheless we were still both elated to have such an opportunity to walk around and play the photographer!" Comments | Permalink
