Constructed in 1899, the old Fayette County Courthouse, located at 215 W. Main Street in downtown Lexington, underwent numerous mid-20th century changes to remain a functional court building. The courts eventually moved to newer and larger spaces anyway, and the building sat empty for several years.
A renovation, completed in 2018, has returned it to its former architectural grandeur, and reclaimed the space as combination restaurant/bar, event and office space.
