Getting the vaccine this week

COVID-19 vaccinations are ongoing at several places in the area and this was the scene as three of us waited at the Adair County Health Department to make sure there were no reactions after getting our Moderna shots, before leaving. Misty May, standing, is a Community Health worker with LCDHD, was helping direct and observe after the vaccinations, reminding us all to move our arms around throughout the day to help with any soreness, and to stay hydrated.
At left is Robbie Burton who was having his second one. He gave his permission to be photographed and said he recommends it to everyone when their turn comes. At right is Bill Henson who had received his first one and said, yes, the photo will prove to his wife that he really did get his shot. Connie Arnold was the nurse who gave me my shot. She was there from the Taylor County Health Department, part of our ten county Lake Cumberland District.
